This is the contents page for my magazine, when i designed it I wanted it to be a quite simple layout so it would be easy for the reader to see what was in the issue as quickly as possible.
I think I could have arranged the page a little differently for example looking back i would now take out the box in the top right corner that contains the message from the New Noise team, because it makes the page look too cramped.
Overall I am quite happy with this page that i finished but if I did this project again I would try and make it look more professional.

This is my DPS for my magazine it is an interview of an artist called 'Vivid Waves!' the questions in this interview focus on the artists rise to stardom and what he plans to do next.
The pictures that i have used in this DPS may give the suggestion that this artists music has a electro/indie sound as the pictures are set up in a way that the style or interpretation of the pictures would show the artist to have a wacky or party animal personality. The lighting in the image may suggest that something about the subject is hidden or supressed, this can link into my magazines theme of finding new artists.
I am happy with the layout of my DPS but I feel that i could of planned out the interview better and made the questions more interesting.

This is my finished front cover I had to change the layout from
the orignal plan. I used a similar layout to Kerrang! magazine, I like how the colours work together with the picture to give the whole front cover a dark or unkown atmosphere.
I think this will attract my potential target audience as they will be able to identify with the picture and the mastheads and taglines.
I think that this cover is a big improvement on my pre-lim task and I am very happy with the outcome.

This is the front cover i produced for my pre-lim task. The task was to create a front cover for a school magazine.
I dont think that it has the appeal that it needs to be a professional school magazine although I do like the layout that I came up with as it is clear and as a result the front cover is spacious allowing the eyeline to immediatly see the dominant image and catch the eye of the potential reader.
